Antisocial Behaviour in Booth Park, Northampton |
||
|
Dear Resident We have received reports of ongoing Anti-Social behaviour on and around the small park area on BOOTH PARK. Multiple fences have been damaged; cars and house windows have been hit by children ‘booting’ footballs at them. There has also been reports of vandalism to the children’s play area on the park.
The residents that have reported the behaviour do not want to stop the children playing on this area. However, we are asking parents and guardians to speak with their children about the consequences of this type of behaviour and encourage everyone to take pride in their local community and be considerate of the other residents living in the area. If you are a resident experiencing damage: Keep an accurate diary of dates, times, and specific descriptions of the damage. Take photos of any property damage. If you witness Anti-Social behaviour in progress, please report it to police. If anyone has information about those responsible, we encourage you to come forward. Information can be provided by contacting us via 101, Alternatively you can report online here.
If you are a parent who received a letter: Speak with your child immediately about where they are playing. Encourage them to utilize designated community parks, playgrounds, or multi-use games areas (MUGAs) rather than the small children’s play park to play ball games.
You can also pass on information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Security tips and crime prevention advice can be found on the Northamptonshire Police website and on the Neighbourhood Watch website.
